The Vaquero Cheerleading Squad energizes school spirit, creates a sense of community, and supports athletic teams. Annual tryouts ensure the highest level of performance and welcomes prospective or returning members. Cheerleaders are guided by the squad's constitution, which emphasizes promoting good sportsmanship, citizenship, and enthusiastic school spirit. They are expected to uphold a higher standard of behavior both on and off campus, in accordance with the SDISD Code of Conduct, and to play a leadership role in building teamwork and supporting the school's goals and objectives.
